INVITATION TO SOUTH GRENVILLE PARENTS  

Our first meeting for the 2021-22 school year will be on Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 starting at 6:00 p.m.  The location and how we are going to meet will depend on the COVID restrictions in place at that time. 

We are pleased to welcome new parents to be a part of our council. Our School Council has a long history of being an active school 
partner and includes parents, teachers, students, administration, and community partners.

REASONS TO JOIN US

  • Play an active role in the education of your son/daughter
  • Assist in developing and carrying out School Success Plan
  • Keep up to date on, and learn about new/existing school programs, local School Board and Ministry of Education initiatives
  • Gain personal and community-based training/experience
  • Meet other parents with similar interests and have your opinions heard
  • Help with fundraising

Everyone is welcome to attend meetings regardless of whether you wish to be a voting member or not. When parents are engaged, students improve, classrooms improve, schools improve and the entire community benefits.

Our Purpose

  1. To promote, to support, and to enhance learning for students of South Grenville DHS.
  2. To foster increased sharing and communications between the school and community.
  3. To ensure that South Grenville's school community interests are strongly represented.
  4. To support and enhance the unique characteristics of our school.
